I'm Devin Tormey, the lady behind the business, responsible for live painting 50+ heirloom artworks, countless commissioned studio works, and a handful of murals, too!

I have the pleasure of working with the most wonderful clients, all with unique and adventurous visions that we discover and dream up together. I aim to learn about you, your story, and your dream, admiring all of the beautiful details along the way. Understanding your vision, and expressing it through lasting and impactful artwork is how I choose to share my love for life with you.

Each of the creative minds I work with shows me something new to admire about this world… There’s truly nothing I’d rather be doing than connecting with my clients, discovering their extraordinary visions, and transforming life, light, and saturation into moving works of art.

I’ve always held a deep love for creating, as well as an adventurous side. While growing up in New England, I’ve admired and experienced Massachusetts’ cities, New Hampshire’s mountains, Maine’s islands, Vermont’s farmlands, Rhode Island’s beaches, Connecticut’s forests, and so many beautiful sights in between.

It’s truly an artist’s dream to live in and admire New England. (Well, it’s my dream!)

Everyone here seems to be interconnected by a love for our unique community, our shared experiences, and the joys of life. It seems only a short time ago, we were cruising down the highway together, listening to the morning show on Boston’s hit radio station Kiss108, and dreaming up this amazing career together.

New to my story?

Here it is...

One Monday morning in April of 2022, I was driving home from a weekend adventure, preparing to dive back into the swing of things for my last year of undergrad. I put on Boston’s favorite morning radio show, featuring Billy Costa and Lisa Donovan, and listened to their discussion about weddings. Then I decided to call in.

They put me on-air! I was given the opportunity to speak about my dream of becoming a live wedding painter, and the radio crew was intrigued. After explaining the highlights of the live painting experience, I was asked to share my contact info with the listeners, who quickly became my very first clients throughout the 2022 and 2023 wedding seasons.

Who knew that a morning radio show would connect all of us in such an impactful way, and create such a turning point in my life and career? At nearly every wedding I’ve painted, I’ve connected with Kiss108 listeners who have followed along with my story, and who truly give a special meaning to this entire experience.

So, for those of you who have been here since the beginning, thank you for your support and kindness. And for those of you who are just discovering Devin Tormey Art, it’s wonderful to have you here, and I can’t wait to continue this journey together and create one-of-a-kind experiences and works of art to capture your most cherished moments.

Our adventure awaits us…

Fun Facts

01

I’m an avid snowboarder, with a group of fellow skier/boarder friends, who love to spend the slow winter months taking in the views and slopes across New England and Colorado!

02

In the warmer months, you can find me hiking, camping, fishing, and exploring the beauty of our world. My upcoming summer adventure brings me and two friends to Alaska, where we plan to swim in as many bodies of water as we can find!

03

Previously trained as a dancer, I have to hold myself back from hitting the dance floor at every wedding I attend. (Instead, you can find me line dancing with friends at local country bars. One day I hope to visit Nashville or Texas for a genuine country line-dancing experience!)

04

I grew up with a large backyard, full of wildlife. My grandparents lived next door, and my grandfather's garden full of fresh veggies attracted deer, foxes, rabbits, and so many more wild animals that I loved to admire from afar.

05

I previously ran a handmade jewelry business in high school, and a crocheted clothing business in college. I’ve been developing and improving my entrepreneurial craft for the past 5 years, and I love adding new hobbies to my ever-growing collection.

Mini Fun Fact:

I’m often referred to as a “silly goose” which I feel is very fitting.
